The grid

Studio shows the feed you are about to have: what is queued, then what you are still planning, then what is already out.

Studio: the grid

Not captured yet

This picture is taken from the running app, not drawn by hand. Run npm run docs:shots to take it.

Queued first, then the plan, then what is published. The gray slots are the rest of the profile.

Three ways to look at it

ViewShows
GridThe board as a card: the channel at the top, the feed under it, and a toolbar floating at its foot
ListEvery post for the channel as one table, whether planned, drafted, queued, out or failed, to sort, filter, retime and caption in bulk. See The list
SplitYour feed beside every layout, so you can compare them and drag across what works

The toolbar

ButtonDoes
↺ ↻Undo and redo, there whenever there is something to undo
Jump to the endScrolls a long plan to its last row
The channel markSwitches which channel's feed you are planning, including My posts
FeedbackA thread on any scheduled post, right on the grid. A tile with comments carries the count; press the bubble and the thread opens over the feed with a reply box. Feedback mode puts a bubble on every scheduled tile so a thread can be started without opening the post. Threads are the same ones the composer's Feedback pane shows
AskMORR, from the grid. Type what you want and it goes to Ask with the words in; as you type, three readings of them appear to pick from. Create post, Create strategy and Write caption are one press each
Save as pictureThe board as one PNG, at this layout's shape with the platform's gutter: what is queued, then the plan. For a client to sign off, or a story that says what is coming.
Color mapReads the feed as color alone. See Color map
+Upload from the library, Split a photo across the grid, Add row of blank slots, or Add note for a post that is an idea so far

Split a photo

One picture cut into tiles that only read together, the oldest trick on a profile. + → Split a photo: pick a picture from your disk or your library, choose one, two or three rows, and the cut is drawn on the picture before anything is uploaded. The tiles follow this board's own shape and land on the end of the plan in reading order.

What the tiles tell you

On the tileMeans
A bar across the top with a dateQueued. That is when it goes out.
A status label, bottom leftWhere a post is: queued, sending, out, or failed.
A stacked-squares mark, top rightA carousel: more than one page.
A reel mark, bottom rightA video.
Small uppercase text, bottom leftA caption drafted against this slot.
A dimmed tile with Syncing… (Uploading… on the phone)The file is still uploading. It cannot be scheduled yet.
HiddenMarked hidden. It still holds its slot. See Filters and Hide.

Changing the shape

The Grid button sets how the preview is drawn: the column count and the shape of a cell. It is a preference for this browser only; it does not change anything about the posts.
