Your brand profile
On the web
Your brand profile is what every hook, caption and batch is written from. It is read from your website or App Store page in five steps you can watch, then it is yours to correct, under Settings → Workspace → Brand. The workspace's owner and admins correct it; a member reads it.
- 1Paste the linkYour website, or the App Store page if the product is an app. Setup asks for it; Read it again under Settings → Workspace → Brand → Product does it any time.
- 2Watch it readOpening your site, reading your pages, finding what makes you different, working out who this is for, writing your brand profile. Under a minute; it reads a few pages, not only the homepage.
- 3Correct what it foundThe brand name, what it is, who it is for, and the one field a website cannot answer: in your own words. That field outranks everything above it.

| Row | Holds |
|---|---|
| Brand | Name, what it is, target customers, in your own words, and the demo videos: as many as you have, for the pieces Batch will make from them |
| Market & competition | Customer segments with their share of the customer base, and the names people compare you to |
| Content angles | Up to ten themes, each good for months of posts |
| Content language | The language every line is written in |
| Tone & voice | Do’s and don’ts, applied to every generated line |
| What it is | The kind of thing you sell (a web app, a mobile app, a service, a course or community, a store, a local business, a creator, or something else) and the address that gets re-read. Reading a link again never changes the kind you chose, unless the link is an app store listing |
