Sell a course

A product block can sell a course: videos, words and downloads in modules, opened on the buyer's own page the moment they pay. No account for them to make, and it remembers where they got to.

What a buyer sees. Two lessons done, one half-watched, a module still to open.

Build it

  1. 1Add a Product block and turn on Sell it hereGive it a title and an amount. If Stripe is not connected yet, Connect Stripe on the block does it in about four minutes.
  2. 2Choose A course under What they getThen Build the course. It opens with a Start here module and a Welcome lesson, so there is something to fill in rather than a blank.
  3. 3Write each lessonA title, a length, and any of: a video, some words, files to download. The outline on the left is the order buyers see.
  4. 4Close itIt saves as you go and says so in the corner. There is no Save to forget.
A lesson's videoWhat it is for
UploadA file kept just for this course, private to the people who bought. Each view gets its own short-lived link, so it cannot be passed around. Any length; a dropped connection picks up where it stopped
Library (MORR) or Your videos (BioLink)A video already in your library, with its still as the poster
LinkYouTube, Vimeo and Loom play right in the lesson. Anything else becomes a button that opens it

On the web, drag a module or a lesson by its handle, and use Move to to send a lesson to another module. On the phone, Course under the block's price opens the same builder, with the same Lessons and Students; hold a lesson to move or delete it, and uploads show how far they have got.

Release over time

Switch on Release over time and each module opens a number of days after somebody buys: day 0 with the purchase, 7 a week later. Until then the buyer sees its title and the date it opens, never the lesson. Everybody moves at their own pace from their own purchase date, which is what makes a drip course feel like a course rather than a folder.

What the buyer gets

WhenWhat happens
They payStripe sends them straight into the course, on a welcome that tells them the link is their key
A minute laterAn email from you, with the link and replies going to your address
Every visit afterThe page opens where they left off: the lesson they were in, and for an uploaded video, the second they stopped at
They finish a lessonMark complete, or the video ends. The ring at the top counts it
A refund goes throughThe link closes and says why

course-card.png

The card sells with what is inside. The lessons themselves stay behind the checkout.

On the card, Show what is inside on the card lists the modules and lesson titles under the price, closed until a visitor opens it. Titles and lengths only; the lessons stay behind the checkout. Students, beside Lessons in the builder, lists everyone who bought and how far each of them has got.
