Blitz

On the phone

Blitz is a door in MORR Cam. Stop recording and the take is cut, captioned, given your look and posted to the channels you chose, with no review. Keep MORR open until the strip says Queued.

Setting it up

Pick Blitz from the Camera button on Home or in Studio, or from the mode name at the top of any MORR camera. The first time, it asks five questions, one screen each, and every answer after the first can be skipped: which channels, how to cut, which captions, your look, and when it posts. The bolt beside the shutter opens the same answers later, and turns Blitz off and on.

More than one take

Stop a take and the row under the viewfinder says 1 take in, with Add another take and Done. Film again, from that button or the shutter, and the takes join one session. Done ends it: Blitz joins the takes into one video, in order, and the rest of the pass runs on that. Closing the camera ends the session too, and so does the app closing mid-session; what was filmed goes as it is. One take and Done is the same as before: nothing is joined.

From your camera roll

A video already on your phone can go the same way. The photo button at the left of the strip above the shutter, and From camera roll in Blitz settings, open your camera roll for videos only, up to ten at once. Each one is copied in, shown as a dashed chip in the strip while it copies, and then cut, captioned and posted as its own take. A clip that could not be copied says so in the strip; the rest still go.

QuestionChoices
ChannelsAny of your connected channels. Every take posts to each one. Instagram, Facebook and YouTube get a Reel or Short; the rest get a video post.
CutBest take keeps one read of each line and drops the retakes, slips and dead air. Clean up drops ums and long pauses only. As shot cuts nothing. All three run on your phone and cost nothing.
CaptionsOne of the six word-timed styles from the video editor, or none. These are the words on the video; the text under the post is written separately.
LookOne of your saved looks, or as shot.
WhenNext open slot places each post at that channel’s next best time, at least a set gap after the last Blitz post there, so a day of takes spreads out. Right away sends it the moment the cut is ready.

What happens to a take

A session of several takes is joined into one file first; the strip says Joining the takes. The recording is saved to your library next, as shot, so nothing you filmed is ever lost. Then the cut, the captions and the look go on, and the file is exported at the size and codec the camera recorded. The voice is cleaned and a title from your first line goes on, unless you turned either off in the editor (see It remembers). The caption under the post is written in your voice from what you said; that is the one step that leaves the phone, and it costs one AI credit a take. Then the file uploads and one post per channel is scheduled.

A script is optional. With one on the prompter, the words ride over the lens while you film, and Best take keeps the read closest to them.

When a take is held

A take that misses the quality bar is held, never posted. The strip above the shutter and the card on Home say why, and offer Post it anyway or Open in the editor, where the cut, captions and look are already waiting.

Held whenWhy
No sound was recordedThe mic was covered or off.
No speech was heardFewer than four words were recognized. Meant to be silent? Post it anyway.
Under three seconds survived the cutWhat is left is a flash, not a post.
The cut kept under a quarter of a take over twenty secondsThe cut threw away most of what was said. Have a look first.
A script line was not heardFilm it again, or post without it.
The shot is darkMean brightness under a tenth. Find light, or post it anyway.
A channel would refuse the length or shapeThe take runs over or under that channel’s limit, or is the wrong shape. Trim or crop it in the editor.

Following along

The strip above the shutter shows the last few takes: working, queued with the time, held, or failed. Home shows the same for today. On the web, a card above the calendar shows the day and can pause Blitz. A held or failed take also rings as a notification with the reason.
