On the web
Breaking down one post tells you why that post worked. Patterns, in the Research sidebar, reads every breakdown you have collected together and ranks the openings, formats, topics and asks by how well each one actually did.

What the number means
Every figure is a multiple of that account's own typical post: 2.4× means posts in that group did just over twice what the account posting them normally does. It is deliberately not raw views. Raw views mostly measure how many followers somebody has, so ranking by them tells you the biggest account in your research is the best strategy, which is not a fact about hooks at all.
The pale line across each bar marks 1×, the account's normal. A bar reaching past it beat that account's usual post; one stopping short of it did worse, which is worth knowing too.
When it refuses to answer
| What it says | What that means |
|---|---|
| 2 of 3 needed | Too few posts in that group to claim anything. It is still listed, and starts scoring once a third one lands. |
| 4 posts · no views yet | Counted, but nothing to rank it by. Refresh the creator to pull the numbers in. |
| Nothing to compare yet | No breakdowns collected. Open a creator and break a few posts down. |
A post sits in every topic it touches, so the topic counts add up past the number of posts. Openings, formats and the ask are one each.
