Workspaces
People and roles
Everyone in a workspace has one of four roles. The role decides what they can do in the work and which parts of Settings they see.
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, and the only one who can delete the workspace. There is exactly one. |
| Admin | Everything the owner can except delete it: the workspace's setup, its members, invites and roles. |
| Member | Plans, writes, schedules and publishes. Reads the workspace's setup without changing it, and connects their own channels. |
| Viewer | Sees the work and changes nothing. Their Settings is their own account only. |
Inviting somebody
- 1Open Settings, then OrganizationOwners and admins only. The account menu's Members & invites goes straight there.
- 2Type their email and pick a roleThe role's meaning is shown under the menu as you choose. In a workspace that is just you there is no role to pick yet: they join as a member, and once they are in, the workspace gets its team features.
- 3Press InviteThere is no email to click. They join the moment they sign in with that address, and the invite waits under Invited until then.
An owner or admin changes a role from the menu beside a name, removes somebody with Remove, and takes back an invite nobody has used with Cancel. On the phone the list is read-only, with a link to the web for changes.
