Working with clients
Share work with a client
On the web
A share link opens one card, or several, for a client who has no account. They watch the latest cut, see the team's frame-pinned notes and drawings read only, comment on the exact second, approve it or ask for changes, and send the files you asked for. Everything they do lands on the card.

- 1Open the card and choose Share with a clientIt is at the top of the card. For several cards behind one link, switch the pipeline to Table, check their rows and choose Share with a client in the bar that appears.
- 2Say what they see at the topA name for the link, and a line for them if you like. It defaults to the card's title.
- 3Choose what they can doWatch, or watch and download. Comments and approvals are on unless you turn them off.
- 4Make link and copyThe link is on your clipboard. Send it however you already talk to the client.
What each setting is for
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Watch | Every version plays in the page and the brief is there to read. Nothing to download, so a first cut does not end up posted by accident |
| Watch and download | The same, plus a download button on each version, and Download the approved set for every card on the link at once, zipped. A card asking for a sign-off keeps its downloads locked until it says approved |
| Comments | They comment, reply, and pin a comment to a second of the video. It arrives in the card's Public activity |
| Approvals | They approve or request changes on a card that asks for approval. Requesting changes needs a note, so you always know what to fix |
| Stops working | In a week, in 30 days, on a date, or never. A link that runs out tells the client so, with your name, instead of a blank page |
Approving from a link
| The card asks | Who can approve from the link |
|---|---|
| Named approvers | Each outside approver, with the email you added them by. Anyone else is told they are not on the card |
| Anyone | Whoever has the link. Their email is recorded as the one who decided |
| No approval | Nobody. The approval panel does not appear |
| An approval ladder | The client's own step, once every step before it (named people, or a role) has said yes. The page says which step it is and who is up before them; trying early is told the team is still signing off |
A decision moves the card the same way it would inside MORR: the workspace's approval moves apply, and a request for changes shows on the card with the client's note.
Exporting comments
Under a card with comments pinned to a second, Export this feedback offers the same three files the Review screen on the web does: a Premiere Pro marker file, a DaVinci Resolve subtitle track, and a PDF report with a frame still per comment. No sign-in needed; it reads straight from what is on the page.
Asking for files
- 1On the card, choose Ask for filesUnder Files from the client, or Files in the row at the top of the card. Say what you need, a line of detail, and a date if it matters: the logo as a PNG, by Friday.
- 2Send the card's share linkShare with a client at the top of the card makes it. The ask appears on it with a place to drop files. Originals are sent as they are, never shrunk.
- 3Files land on the cardWith who sent them and when. Download each one, or remove it.
- 4Close the ask when you have everythingClosed asks stop taking files. Reopen one if you need more.
Turning a link off
Turn off in the share dialog stops the link at once, for everyone who has it. What the client already said and sent stays on the cards. The dialog lists each link with how many times it was opened and when, so you can tell whether the client has looked yet.
