What each status means
Every post carries one of six states. The one that matters most is whether anything is going to send it.
| Status | Means | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Saved, not queued. Nothing will send it | Edit it, or schedule it |
| Scheduled | Queued for a time in the future | Change the time, or the content |
| Remind me | Queued, and your phone buzzes five minutes before. With a channel it still goes out on its own; with no channel, you post it | Change the time, or hand it to a channel |
| Post by hand | Nothing sends it. At its time you are handed the media and the caption, and you post it. See Posting it yourself | Post it, then press I posted it |
| Sending | A worker has it right now | Wait. It resolves within a minute |
| Published | It went out | Open it on the platform |
| Failed | The platform refused it | Read the reason, fix it, reschedule |
A scheduled post with no channel attached is a third case: it is not a reminder, so nothing buzzes, and no worker can claim it. It says Needs a channel instead of a time. Open it and pick where it goes.
A first comment has a status of its own, shown on the post once it is out: waiting, posted, or not posted with the reason. A comment that did not go up never makes the post Failed; the post went out.
