Deals

On the web

Deals is a board for every brand deal you make yourself, bookings on a calendar and a running total of what came in and went out. It is a different thing from Jobs: Jobs is paid work found and paid through MORR; Deals is for the deals you make on your own, outside MORR, that you still want tracked in one place.

Drag a card to a new stage as the deal moves.

The board

StageWhat it means
InboundCame in. Not worked yet.
NegotiatingTerms on the table.
SignedBooked. The work is on.
DeliveredPosted. Waiting to be paid.
PaidThe money is in.
LostDid not happen. A line in Notes says why; there is no separate reason field.

A deal holds a title, a brand (typed by hand; there is no contacts book behind it), what it is worth, the dates around it and a notes field. Open a card to edit any of it, add a booking or log money against it, and see the running total.

Bookings

A date on the calendar: a shoot day, a call, a delivery. A booking can belong to a deal, or stand on its own with no deal at all. Each one has a status (Confirmed, Tentative or Canceled) and an optional location.

Income and expense, with a net total for whatever range you pick.

Every dollar in and out of your deals, in one list. Each entry is Income or Expense, with an amount, a category, a date and an optional note, and can be tied to a deal or stand alone. The three totals at the top (income, expense and net) follow whatever date range you set; clear the range to see everything.
